"Flash of the Sun"
"They say there is a moment before the sun rises, when, if you look
quietly, there is a deep flash upon the sky, and in that moment, a
reflection of all life exists, and in that moment, I saw her eyes..."

...And i saw that flash of the sun today
and my entire existence was made whole.
As though I now had purpose,
it nearly touched my soul,
those eyes of radiance,
how they pierce me so,
and though the sun may set tonight,
I'll never let that feeling go.
In an instant the light was gone,
as if it had never been there before,
But I knew all along,
I was watching an angel soar.
Her eyes did light upon me,
brightening up my life,
and with every wave of the ocean,
I saw with a better sight,
The beauty of the world,
my surroundings so surreal.
In one moment, one flash of light,
all my wounds had healed.
All my burdens seemed weightless,
all my woes, no longer worries.
I was at peace, I was calm,
no need to rush or hurry.
Everything was clear,
everything was as it was meant to be.
And to this day that flash, that angel,
I have yet again to see.
She left me with a gift,
a reflection of all the good in life,
and if you're fortunate enough,
You'll catch a glimpse before the sun rise.
