For Japan....For Tomorrow.

I'm thinking tonight of Japan
her people understand frailties of life
Of generations past .....of futures
who know of wars.... of strife

The wind chimes of music... serene
warm nights of mysteries
We reach out to you now
we've shared our histories

Mellowed souls ......and hidden smiles
springs beauty in colors
Green silent hills of heaven
ageing fathers and giving mothers

Your samurai laying at rest
and whalers prowling the seas
Your children laughing at play
the prayers on bended knees

We reach out our hands ....our hearts
our pantries open too
Our hands join in clasps of
compassion offering to you

Her pride ......her honor .......
will she accept our hands
To save herself from the seas
reaching far into her lands

A wonderful tribute Dear Man, may we remember them all in our prayers, in our well wishes, in our blessings. And may they feel the strength as they go through their troubled times.

Very beautiful. It is so difficult to see the Japanese people suffer, and in that silent way. I hope people rise to the occasion to help, and we all pray to whatever God or Goddesses or whomever we believe in to help them in this terrible time.

Fierce in serentiy and calm in demenor, grace of a plum blossom petal. Enduring, striving, piecing together the past with the future and standing tall. The people whose very souls are shown in the contrast of their lands highest mountain, stately, serene, cool and composed yet able to breath fire and stand its ground. My thoughts and prayers are with them as I join you, my friend, in prayer.

I have been praying and hopefully most do for the lost lives and left behind loved ones there. This kind of devastation is unimaginable for most, but it's time to open our eyes and hearts! This is so heart felt dad...really puts my own life into perspective on how "bad things are". Just to think this is still too soon to say what the exact loss of life is...a lot of men, women, children and babies still missing. Oh my heart aches for them! The only thing we can do powerful enough is to pray!

I believe by the time this is over there will be tens of thousands of lost souls , maybe hundreds. Imagine the agonies of not knowing where or how you lost your loved ones must be! This morning I watched as a giant of a soul carried another on thier back in Japans rubble, searching for their tomorrow! They are so strong a willed people .Pray fo them! I love you !oxoxoxoxo Dad

Great poem that shows sensitivity and caring thoughts for these poor people. I cannot begin to comprehend how they are coping but somehow or other that coping mechanism comes to the fore and they will move forward.

I push awesome/up on this one.

My heart goes out to them all and thank you so much for sharing this hub with us.

Take care

Fossillady,There is a spirit here on these pages that is powerful enough to show the Japanese that the joining of our prayers can travel far into the world of hope. And you are a part of that! That feels good doesn't it? Be well my friend!

I know I made comment on this today but must have forgotten to post, I do that sometimes...yes prayer of many together is the best we can do, but I fear this is just a beginning...far from ending. It would take so many praying with real meaning, and ready ourselves for what our country faces too. I was glad to see the prayers on bended knees, that is the kind of prayer that brings answers, very good hub.

Thank you Jackie , and we know that you are praying , It is the power like yours that will lead the way! There is no more we can do nor less. Be well and keep smiling.
