Forever Never (poem)

Somehow the world he knew had changed this day

He wanders through the realms of what or how

For answers which his reason won’t allow

What was it now which calls his mind to stray

-

What was it which was eating at his soul

Its nature or what purpose did it weave

Destruction or some pleasure to conceive

And with it gone did something fill the hole

-

It felt to him some answer to a prayer

A flip-side to a long unwanted coin

To share the fate of mate forever join

A sacrifice for evil something fair

-

And so it was the world had something lost

And their forever never was the cost

Great job, Martin. Things like this can easily occur.

Well done. Unanswered questions sometimes do lead to a wandering at least of the soul in search of them. Voted up++

I agree, well done, Hatter. I wonder what drives people to do unwarranted or harmful things to themselves and others too. Thanks for sharing!

What was lost -- perhaps a memory or love? Very creative and mysterious lines that lead to perhaps another time or relationship.

Mysteriously intriguing. there are many questions in this life which never seem to get answered.

Wow, this takes reading more than once to grasp the depth from which it comes. I take it evil overcame and cost the lovers their innocent time together. So true of many relationships, really.
