Free My Soul Poem

Free my Soul

Goodbye bye my love

Say goodnight

Now it is my escape

Of the thought and of the pain

I create

As the pain leaves me

Evermore?

No

Not then it is in my soul

A prison-dark-whole

The mess I create

The mess I leave

The mess I take

It’s mine

Clean it up let it go

Free my soul

Thank you billybuc, freedom in mind and spirit is the point, is it not? That is a sticky concept that I struggle with often.

Free my soul - beautifully expressed. Freedom to fly away leaving behind no trace. Enjoyed reading. Voted up.

"What more could please the soul than to walk free and know no superior?" Your poem reminded me of that from long ago. Well done my friend!
