Free Spirits

To scale the heights in skies of blue.
To scale the heights in skies of blue.
reach the heights
reach the heights
wild duck fly
wild duck fly
soaring in realms on high.
soaring in realms on high.
the chambers of the celestial heights
the chambers of the celestial heights

The trials of life and stresses shared, to all is given, as non are spared,

We relish a dash to freedom's ring, that which makes the birds all sing.

The summoning of magic, of the granted wish, not that, life has to dish.

Our thoughts run wild, and swift, and free, to reach the heights, our plea.

We may hitch rides upon an eagle's back, chasing clouds, no flight exact,

Climb the heavens in grand balloons, as we listen to nature, its sweetest tunes.

Ride high on kites and a gliders wings, to stir our minds, a wind's notes brings,.

We dip and soar, as our spirits may fly, traversing the chambers, of the sky.

Releasing all that's held inside, when we ascend, where our thoughts abide,

Reach the summit and then descend, to reconfirm, our joys, all once again.

All envy, to the wild ducks, and the geese, for in their flights, they do release,

not held, imprisoned, in confining space, to receive a welcoming love, by grace.

Another beautiful piece of work. You are a poetry machine, but unlike a machine, your heart and soul is on display with each of your works.

Whonu, when I saw the title I just had to read what you have to say. I consider myself a spirit - free to fly where my dreams and imagination take me. This is a beautiful representation of that free feeling. You speak magic with your words.

I wish i could get into a hot air baloon some time. I've been in a plane before though and very high places. I do know to some extent that freedom you feel from flying. Nice poem!

Ah, the songs of nature and the memories held. Perfectly done, for I have felt those thoughts myself.
