Friday Night 4

What did I do on Friday night

When my friend claimed tiredness as her plight

For it was only a quarter to eight

When she declared bed it was her fate

As more a night owl I do be

I made myself a cup of tea

Then I sat at a computer there

With a cushion on my chair

Its screen was bright

And full of light

Much wisdom there did be

On the pages I perused

As I looked for knowledge you see

The hours flew

And before I knew

Some hours had gone by

Ah well,  I sighed as I stood again

This Friday night was not in vain

For much I have achieved

For future reference I have notes

The better to be believed.

It’s great to see a new HUBBER and welcome to HUB writing. I stumbled across this HUB by accident and then I found I enjoyed this very much. You have this laid out beautifully and it is easy to understand. I suspect you have writing talent and time will tell I guess. Keep up the great HUBS. I must give this an “Up ONE and awesome.” I'm now your fan! RJ

Based upon your HUB, you might enjoy this HUB…

Thank you Reynold Jay, I am honoured by your kind words. My poetry is usually written in five minutes, and not given a great deal of thought, it literally just 'happens'.

I enjoyed your Hub thank you, and I didnt have dirt in my eye, it was an unashamed tear or two. Thank you for sharing. It reminded me of some thing I put on my FaceBook page a few days ago

How much do we take for granted? Today I watched a lady on a walking frame, and remembered being in a wheel chair. I washed the dishes as I waited for the kettle to boil, and remembered not being able to stand long enough to make a cup of tea.....I am sure its not just me!

I look forward to reading more of your Hubs, Sheila
