From the Depths of Me

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

Night brings a new fear,

an unexpected course,

and here am I,

surrounded by my empty space,

accepting my new friend

into my soul.

Lost is a place,

with purpose,

and with the resolution

to be found.

I am neither lost

nor found,

entrapped in my

new friends web.

I am between,

A crossroad of passage,

not forward, not back,

but residing in the fear of now,

where dreams are made,

where life is born.

In the stillness of night,

I ponder my now,

as elusive as it is,

and have fear in my heart,

knowing I’m creating my fear,

from fear.

The weight of responsibility,

holds me,

and I alive with possibility,

if not plagued by the now,

the second my thoughts

dream to live.

I fear what my mind

can create,

in my dark recesses,

the periphery of my core.

This, I will have to abide by,

accept as a future,

of my hand.

Now is a dream eloquent,

but also a fear stemming

from the ineptitudes of me.

My fear is me.
