From This (poem)

Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain

This special time of stardust blessed delight

When this has passed who knows what will remain

-

Receive this kiss to ease the pangs of pain

Then add to this these arms to hold you tight

Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain

-

Was this the wish a dream hoped to obtain

This passage from desire to promised light

When this has passed who knows what will remain

-

This mist soon sooths all doubt which may remain

Then comes this whisper mingled with the night

Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain

-

Somewhere ahead are seasons fraught with rain

When darkness plays its tricks upon our sight

When this has passed who knows what will remain

-

But here we are this moment to sustain

From this we build the bonds to make things right

Let’s spend this time amid sweet love’s refrain

When this has passed who knows what will remain

We need to realize that moments come and go, and make sure that we cherish each and every moment we have with each other. Thanks for this poem!

Yes, why not take a chance on love? Perhaps if we remain to talk -- it could happen. Great wisdom and writing!
