Getting out of Bed

 Getting Out Of Bed

The other morning when i got out of bed

I felt half asleep or even half dead

I went to get some cold water to splash my face

But i soaked the room. It went all over the place.

I was so tired i was uncoordinated

Which got me more and more frustrated

I dried down the room and went to get some coffee

Surely drinking this will wake me.

A few minutes waiting and it dawned

I hadn't turned the kettle on

But then it boiled and i turned

Around to get my cup and i got burned.

Yes my hand got caught by the steam

It burned into me like a laser beam

So i decided to forget about the coffee at this time

But i do like my caffeine so that seemed like a crime.

I went into the other room and heard a phone message from a friend

I forgot i was to meet up with them -i'll need to make amends

I'll get in touch with them later and hope they understand

I may have to exagerate the pain in my hand.

I decided to take action and think of a good plan

But the best one i came up with i hope you understand

Because after thinking i had lots of ideas going around my head

But the best one i had was to go back into bed.

Michael this is the best case of sleep hubbing I have ever seen. Well done my dreamy friend.

Hahaha wow you just wrote a poem about my usual morning! My favorite part was "I'll get in touch with them later and hope they understand I may have to exaggerate the pain in my hand." We all do that! Loved it! Original and fun, take care :)

Too funny... was that your morning? Since I found your solution sooo perfect, I decided to try it out... So today I write to you snuggled with the coverlet around my neck, all cozy and warm.

Hi GPSWorldTraveler, Thanks for the comments on this. I'm really glad you liked it. The things have probably happened to me but not all at the same time. I hope your relaxing lie-in in bed was as good as it sounds.
