Ghost Poem!

This was published in a book called Write and Shine when I was 12 years old. I was chosen along with a handful of other students my age from all the schools, in my whole County, for it to be published. (My school was given the theme of scary things.)

Ghost . . . Terrifying, terrible, transparent spirits swaying around soundless houses.

Vampire . . . Murderous men gnawing on necks then kipping in coffins after disappearing at dawn.

Spiders . . . Creepy crawlies, crawling curiously, scuttling sideways and then backward rolling into the bath.

Bats . . . Navigate the night, relying on radar; pouncing on prey from a very high height.

Haunted House . . . Dark, dank, creaking and crackling, searched by spooks.

Skeletons . . . Skinless and clanking, limbs loose and lanky, bones big and breaking.

Witch . . . Hard heart, high hat, wide warts, black cat, booming broomsticks, cruel cackle.

Spectre . . . Spooky spectre shining white with spooky faces reflecting light like blinding headlamps in the night.

Poltergeist . . . Always in motion, moving the magazines, throwing the furniture, untidying everything.

Corpse . . . Underground, without a sound, rotting revoltingly
