Heart and Soul

Maybe the best thing to do is to stop trying to figure out where you're going and just enjoy where you're at.

Canto Alla Vita/I Sing for Life

Quit hanging on to the handrails … Let go. Surrender. Go for the ride of your life. Do it every day. - Melody Beattie, “Finding Your Way Home”

Put your heart into everything you do,

From chores to hobbies.

Whether you are cleaning the hall floor,

or living it up on the dance floor,

Put your heart into it and get more out.

Put your soul into all the little things,

The cooking or the driving or

Filing reports at work.

Give a little smile as you go about your day

And you will be rewarded for yourself.

In the end, it's not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.

Put your heart and mind into everything,

Taking out the trash,

Or Doing the Weekly shop.

Do everything you can to love the things you do,

And you'll find yourself enjoying yourself more.

Put your heart and soul into these things,

Not just big but

Small things too,

Put your life and love into all the minor things,

And you'll get love and life given right back to you.

Hi Moira.

Nice hub and i totally agree with you. If a things worth doing then it's worth doing right and that means putting everything into it.

Josh Groban is one of my favorites.

Take care and have a nice evening/day.

Thank you Ghaelach. We only pass through life once. If it's worth it, then give it everything you've got. Actually learned this principle from my mentor when I started in the Foreign Service fresh out of college. As the years piled on, got married and had a son, I realized it held true as well for life in general and not just in terms of work.
