Good Thoughts Carried Forward

Each day that passes is different

I have lost a good friend

One who I could always count on and trust with anything

The last time I seen her we joked and had fun being silly

Believing the good times will continue

Thirty five years apart in age was no barrier

I always gave her the respect and honesty she deserved

Growing up under my moms and dads rules

For the first years of my life she was my world

Then as I became older things changed

She later became one of two bosses I had to listen to

Once again I grew older and my relationship switched

I was an adult and we talked one on one

Seeking advice and sharing stories

We both faced some of the same issues in life

Now as age would turn against my mom

I watched her struggle and deal with problems far beyond my years

Holding back the tears I searched for answers

Time travelled faster than my ability to comprehend

Emotions spiraled out of control

I watched helpless and shocked

My hands tied as if I couldn't break free

I still haven't found the words

All I can do is stay happy and find more reasons why I loved you so much

It might of been the bond between a mother and her son

The help she provided without asking

Her voice bringing comfort and reassuring everything in life happens for a reason

She didn't have the answers either but she knew we could make it work

Hang in there that is something we all learn to do

Make the best of it and make others happier too

No need to stop now when this is just another challenge to embrace

Love never stops and it is never eraced

So bounce on back and love more than before

We both can work as partners

Me in this world and you a place in the sweet unknown

Making choices that will only make us stronger and wiser

Leading the way to a better life

Today it has been eight months

Who ever said time fly's they were right

It has the wings of an angel that can sing

Neither you nor me could carry a tune

I am going to have some ice cream

I know your hear with me

I will wait as you grab a spoon

Thanks for making every day special

Now I can look up in the sky

Wondering what you are doing ?

Where you are at ?

It is raining here and I got all wet

I hope you are laughing because that is what we would do

I remember you saying we are not sugar and we won't melt

The rain is good for your skin
