Grandfather’s Secret (limerick)

Picture of grandfather in military

My grandfather’s old I must say

One hundred and one years today

For wife’s care you see

How this came to be

Was fifty when he passed away

Fun and light hearted limerick but also rings true - it's hard to let go.

Ha Ha! Hilarious and I can relate as my Nana lived to 101 having lost her spouse at 55!
