A Heavy Sky

Lonesome,
tried to find another one to comfort

Curious,
tried to catch a glimpse of what's out there

Disappear,
into dancing streams of hopeful gold

Awaken,
opening your eyes to the world you always imagined

Meet me,
within the shadow beyond the hills

I'll be there

Everlasting love submerged
in concrete flower gardens

An imprint, a reminder,
eternally divided

Cracking under the sun's heat,
as roots flourish beneath

The gravedigger meets the gardener

The future seeks to know us,

but we're living in the past

We're lost in sacred memories,

while sweet moments come and pass

___________________________

How could we run from shadows
when the sun's life was ending?

A darkened storm, coldly traveled
across the world before us

Seeking shelter within the light,
we pierced holes through the sky

Our will was strong, indeed
but every star must someday die

Visited HubPages for the first time in awhile and I go straight to your newest poem. As always, the music flows beautifully with your words.
