Grateful Heart

Grateful Heart
Grateful Heart

Grant me, Lord, a grateful heart

And unshadowed eyes to see with,

The many blessings, great and small

That You have favored me with.

Let me ever mindful be

Of that which I take for granted.

Instead of yearning for what I have not,

Let me gracefully bloom where planted.

Rather than facing each new day

With longing wants unheeded,

Let my heart rejoice and know

That I have all that's needed.

So when Life''s troubles heavy seem,

When my spirit grows so weary,

Let a grateful heart supply the strength

To trust You are ever near me.

Amen

Really touching and oh so true. If we count the things we do have instead of the things we don't., we'd all be much happier. Who knows? The world might even be a better place. Lovely poem Thank you. God Bless
