Haiku Breakfast

Haiku Breakfast? Ever since Larry Connors (Maven101) wrote in his hub: ...I do write a haiku every morning in my journal and encourage other Hubbers in their work with critical comments on their Hubs... I was inspired and encouraged to do the same. These haiku are some of the inspirations resulting from the haiku breakfast sessions.

saddening the day

if i look at it that way

it is raining tears

i wasted today

i’m not proud of who i was

start fresh tomorrow

a glimmer of hope

every moment a fresh start

including this one

good or bad weather

allow it to ruin your day

only attitude

The most human thing we have to do is to learn to speak our honest convictions and feelings and live with the consequences. This is the first requirement of love and it makes us vulnerable to other people who may not accept us as we really are but this truth, our vulnerability is the only real thing we can give to other people. Father William DuBay

expressing myself

is always a risk i take

an important risk

i’m starting again

despite all that has happened

i am courageous

strong phenomenon

bright blue skies in the uk

people are smiling

lost in the music

i’m really not lost at all

pleasuring myself

more than melody

its the spaces between notes

that are the music

what’s wrong with people

despite everything we have

its never enough

an eructation

coming from deep within me

i beg your pardon

Very nice! I think I may adopt the Breakfast Haiku practice myself.

Morning Russ...What lovely and honest prose to read over breakfast...In some countries having an eructation is considered complimentary to the cook and is much appreciated...After reading and speaking your breakfast haiku I'm having a spiritual eructation without apology...

In this complicated and increasingly insensitive world it is a sublime pleasure to marvel at the calming power of a simple haiku uttered to oneself...One of the most striking aspects of your haiku, for me, has always been your honesty...one of your first haiku, Haiku Cow, with the accompanying photo, captured that honest simplicity perfectly...Go well, my friend...Larry

Lovelypaper, thank you. I have just read your hub, Falling Forward and like it very much. Would love to see your haiku?

Russ
