Finding Peace - Haiku Poem
How Do We Find Peace?
Peace at Last
Oh, God, do you know
the magnitude of feelings
stifled, hidden deep
Escape from ongoing hurt
Is there a way out?
Oh, the sweet freedom
Of at last leaving behind
One way to solve It
Scary, sweet, thank you relief
Best peace ever found
- Haiku Poem for my Best Friend
A haiku poem for my best little buddy who is more than human.
What is a Haiku?
A haiku is a Japanese form of poetry that generally describes nature. However, it's fun to use the haiku form for poetry about any subject.
Try your hand at creating a poem with the haiku method. The haiku is three lines, using five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and another five in the third. Be as descriptive as you can to describe the topic you have in mind. See what you can do with it! I've written several haiku that are only three lines long. However, others I've added several more stanzas with the 5-7-5 structure to make the poem longer.
I've published several haiku hubs, as have many of my fellow hub writers. Check them out for more hub enjoyment! And perhaps try your own hand at haiku.
