Haiku - Various Themes

blowing from the lake

icy wind cuts through my skin

the sun warms my heart

walking through the park

introspective solitude

inspiring haiku

i apologise

i value relationships

more than my ego

silhouetted queen

by three hundred year old trees

bow majestically

playing silent strings

on my internal fretboard

transferable soon

wailing emotions

coming from the depths of me

my trusted blues harp

inspired music

as if coming from nowhere

muscle memory

memory moments

best of all the times in love

how I savour them

emotional tears

happiness making me cry

touches me deeply

aphrodisiac

putting fire to emotion

turn me on to life

hedgerow awaiting

the buds that promise the spring

not long to go now

supersonic greed

air gone at fantastic speed

just plane pollution

Hi Russ

Superb Haikus and photos. My favourite is

"aphrodisiac

putting fire to emotion

turn me on to life"

Voted up and away!

Really nice and bonus with the accompanying images. I also liked the "putting fire to emotion" line. Thanks much.

Hi Russ...An inspiring collection of eclectic haiku that flows naturally from one insight to the next...As my wont, I read each out loud, piercing the early morning silence with your wonderfully crafted 5-7-5 meter...Thank you for giving me this sweet pleasure...

Go well, my friend...Larry

Hi Larry, thank you. Reading out loud impacts so much more on all the senses. Even words like aphrodisiac or supersonic said slowly, are poetry. I hope all is well with you and that you are considering sharing your thoughts in haiku with us again soon. Go well, Russ
