He Just Kept Stalking

The Right Place ( Poem Two )

She caught a glimpse of a familiar face,

what was he doing there,

she thought the police had made it clear,

and the only thing that came rushing back

was the anger and fear,

he turned his attention to the road,

she was ready to explode,

she became noticeable and loud,

she tried to catch the attention of the crowd,

but what if she were alone,

and he had shown up and somehow grabbed her,

she slowly shook her head,

realizing that she could have been dead,

she didn’t want to die,

so she cried for help,

and two cops walking by

did an about-face,

thank god, she thought to herself,

they were in the right place.

He Just Kept Stalking ( Poem One )

Everyone around town kept talking,

he didn’t care,

he just kept stalking,

despite the cones of nipples

that indented her halter top,

she looked boyish,

but he didn’t stop,

from his vantage point,

he could see her reflection

multiplied from every angel,

because of the mirrors on the walls,

she sensed the detection,

and she needed protection,

avoiding him was draining,

and he ignored the order of restraining,

she walked briskly to the counter

and ordered a hot tea,

from where he was standing, he could see,

she sipped angrily, scalding her lips,

as her impatience was doing back flips,

he was in Heaven

he had watched her every move,

and felt her every emotion,

his insanity was in motion,

his reality would crash,

aggravated, she threw her cup in the trash,

he followed her,

as she made a hasty dash,

exasperated, she made her getaway,

only to start over again,

because tomorrow was another day.
