Heads and Tales


To say the least,

he was half man half beast,

his eyes blazing,

the moon glazing,

he howled into the night,

it was a chilling fright,

and then,

with no sound at all,

he would fall,

shimmering hands

had reached out,

they were once paws,

with sharp claws,

and the moon would make demands,


but that was over,

his blood streams,

a woman screams,

a vampire dreams,

and spirits are lost in nightmares,

then the tears,

followed by the fears,

and when reality sets in,

nobody really cares.

Little Red Riding Again

She was a little red riding,

and a pair of eyes watched from hiding,

her hands thundered down

on her picnic basket,

as it fell to the ground,

and she would shout,

when the wolf jumped out,

what big eyes you have,

allowing her words to be heard,

the sentiment was drowning,

little red riding was frowning,

she hesitated when she needed to run,

instead of doing what needed to be done,
