Healing Stairs

I feel alone, this house so dark

I am afraid where do I step?

The stairs are falling underneath

I feel the pain, it is so deep

I am in a game of survival

I see in the distance, the misty silhouette

It is my mom, she says It will all be OK

I am a stranger in my home

I have my faith, I am not alone

My twin sister lifts me up

We take each other's hands and flee

Life is a journey and gratitude is free

Thanks Tony. It feels good to share some poignant memories when life is so great now. Our childhoods can cripple us if we let them. I have chosen to use it for good.

Lovely poem, though the picture of the house is enough to scare anyone. Thanks for sharing.
