Heaven on Earth- a poem
Heaven on Earth

Heaven the promise of endless life,
of angel smiles and luminous light.
Where purity driven by unhindered sight,
imbues the lives of all.
In blissful peace and love released,
and family, friends and loved ones meet,
the joy of finding long lost souls,
to revel in reunions told.
In joyous tones as angels sing,
to celebrate the gift of wings,
with freedom found the chimes do ring,
to mark this heavenly gala.
At parties end as minds descend,
to slumber deep of earthly sleep,
and dreams uphold the wishes bold,
of peace and heavenly wishes.
On waking it is the earth that’s real,
the promise of heaven on earth to deal,
dreaming that gift of imagined zeal,
the choice is our to make.
For what we dream is possibly true,
if we work toward let peace ensue.
Without hate and greed an earthly trait,
we can only open that heavenly gate.
