Heaven's Got A Plan For You

Memories

From beyond

Trailing in your mind

Times left behind

When things seemed

Simpler

Less hectic

What now leaves you blind

Looking at the sky for hope

Reading the clouds

Signs from up above

Of what life is to be

What it means

To be alive

Sitting there

Wondering

What will happen next

Crying

Why do things happen

The way they do

Losing hope

Sometimes

Wondering why

Searching and waiting

Living in the

Daily grind

People come and go

Giving and taking

Some robbing you

Leaving you with nothing

But the thoughts in your mind

The sun shines through the window

Soothing rays

Leaving a warmth

Giving you strength

To survive

What will come next

You will see

Just living another day

Finding peace in you

Keeping it alive

Don't worry now

Heaven's got a plan

For you

Try to survive

Thank you for this. Even the great martin's destiny of a bed ridden vegetable is part of heaven's plan.

Many people feel this way. The brave keep searching and find the answers. I have found mine in my faith and in keeping the commandments to love God and to love my neighbors without judging. You can find that same peace. Many of us have found it in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as written about right here on HubPages by other Hubbers who searched as you are searching in this poem.

This is a very sweet poem Caroline. I like how the end lets you know that things will get better. Hope is a powerful thing. I hit many buttons and voted up. Nice writing :-)

'Living in the daily grind'... mmmm...you have got day to day existence down to a T in this gritty poem, my friend! we must always be grateful for the the 'soothing rays' of the sun - and everything else we are blessed with - or 'grind' will soon become 'ground'!

Your writing style stands alone - and this one is deliciously down and dirty!

up and sharing...

ps. WHAT a picture!

I love the photo and the words in your poem are perfectly written as you can almost feel yourself standing on the bridge . And feeling the cool breeze from the gentle wind. The water looks so inviting. Had to share and definitly deserves a vote up! cheers! :)

No wonder Neil Diamond made you his muse and wrote a song about you my sweet Caroline and this is a title to die for - and words to live by - although I don't necessarily believe in God in order to go to church I respect anyone else's gospel and I love the gospel music of Elvis Presley and simply adore black gospel music because it sounds like the roots of rock and roll and raises my spirits everytime - I see God in the surroundings of mother nature like the lake where I live and in the beautiful eyes of my two cats - God is in my heart though through choice and inspiration through my environment and my cats - see what you did with your poetic words of eloquence and grace - you moved me - sending you warm wishes from the brutal wind chills and snow squalls of lake erie time canada 2:30pm

Thank you Epi for your compliments. I find spirituality in nature as well. I love animals too and find God in their eyes. Elvis is awesome. Thank you for stopping by as always dear friend. :)
