Heaven's Smile

Life began with a smile ... a little girl posed for her father ...

Captured moments
pause
in a heartbeat

She had been the apple of his eyes ... dearly loved and provided for ...

Fermented
raw grapes
her childishness

Life's challenges and obstacles slowly settled in ... ongoing mad ramblings ...

Souls' spin
swirled
in a whirlpool

A wholehearted trust to one's responsibility ... a crooked curve round the corner ...

Unforeseen circumstances
suddenly shifted
the wind's direction

Gasping for breath ... she turned outwards, hearts on her craftsmanship ...

Paintings of roses
and thorns
borderline self-destruction

Another shocking reality ... in addition to the first ...

Storms became hurricanes
taste of red wine
filled up one's mind

One action leads to another ... hypersensitive small talks ...

Moving ahead
seemed more difficult
glacier on still ice

Lips closed into a straight thin line ... sealed with emotions ...

Roasted pure beans
brewed into black coffee
aroma of the senses, intensely

No language could describe a mother's loss ... it is felt deep within ...

Pride and passion
combined with ginger in coffee
disruptive lines

Do you remember the quiet strength in forgiving?

Fingers
reaching towards the one
in silhouette

The apple of his eyes ... does she remember his unconditional love?

He smiled
in a photo
dated 20 years ago

How long ago was it ... when heart to heart conversation was softer?

The voice
before eruptions
How many times?

(work in progress)

Simply beautiful, so much said, I felt sadness and joy mixed together. Our lives start and end with so many memories of the good, bad and some ugly times. You weaved your verse artistically into a wonderful work here. Bravo, well done.
