Here We Are (poem)

Here we are

Settling themes from a past

One more dream

One more whisper

Must silently shine

Shine across the moments

Which carried us here

Moments of wonder

Moments of tears

Memories cast in sands

Sands ever drifting

In winds which once were us

Things which we cared for

Things which we touched

Calling us back

Back for one more show

One more wonder from our hat

To free a troubled mind

To build pathways to the stars

But that was then

Then yet again

Recalling strangers of our days

Take us back once more

Take us to your guiding light

All in good time

Very lovely, Mh and the music as a bit of drama and melancholy at the same time.

Up and more and sharing

God bless, Faith Reaper

Beautiful and cleverly done, echoes of the Sestina?

Send in the clowns perfectly matched the mood. Nice work once again. Voting up and sharing.

Your connecting "Send in the Clowns" was so appropirate for your poem. Memories are always just below the surface and brings much joy when brought to light.
