Other People Don't See What You See
The word No looks me in the eyes face to face
Could I be wrong again or does my hearing need to be checked ?
Certain things I will not let happen even though everything points in that direction
Today was a very disappointing day
High hopes were dashed and later turned to small cinders that were later burned again
I come from a long history of falling short of my greatest expectations
It has become more the norm not just a sudden setback
Almost like a ship slowly sinking taking in more water than it can handle
It is an ongoing reality that I constantly change little by little
First by words then by actions then by results
I know first hand what it feels to be nocked down and later pinned
Then I think of my dreams which I always seem to do
All by myself without anyones help
Why did the day turn out like it did ?
It started out with great promise and unlimited potential
Surprise !
While I cover your nice warm fire with a big bucket of water
I seen the splash while sitting in the hot seat which instantly turned my whole body dripping wet
Once a delightful fire suddenly turned into smoldering wet wood still smoking
Slowly choking my lungs and soon even air is more precious than before
After listening to the most ridiculous reasons why you are not interested
In an idea that can mutually benefit both of us
I ask the same question again and again
Why am I compelled to help you ?
You clearly said I don't seem to understand what the goal is ?
Finding my efforts nice
Entertaining but with little overall value
This is where we differ
The vision can be so much more rewarding
The prize slightly out of reach
Rethinking every effort and reevaluating the situation
After coming up with other reasons why you might change your mind
Why not think different than everyone else ?
Still not interested
It is time to move on
Find what life has to offer and how to find a bigger catch
We all make choices each day good and bad
Some are brilliant some are short sighted
We owe it to ourselves to develop each one or at least learn from our mistakes
Bringing our dreams into focus so that others can witness something really special
To concentrate all energy to propel an idea from fruition to being practical
Going beyond when others have turned around and gone home
The magic of sleep will replentish the soul
Where my dreams will fly and there are no blunders
Another day will bring on new excitement and promise
To expand the horizon and the wonderful future
