When you have a little idle time~

This place in a home town is fine.

Too much nothing is quite O.K. ~

When spent in a place unfazed.

Blue skies churned with clouds~

The palm tree florescent lights on the pizza parlor~

An antique shop dressed with adornments~

The bank to your right.

Your waiting is not wasted~

As you dawdled to and throw.

While people gather chatting~

In front of the hard ware store. ~

Children gaze at candy~

Dreamy in the drugstore window~

There behind a green canopy sits~

The town’s watering hole a miss.

Hours rendered in complete bliss~

Nothing would you had ever missed.

The dentist nook~

A thatched fence near the lattice arbor~

Benches and rocking chairs for times well spent.

Barber shop spot scrolling cherry and white~

Next the sign “For Rent” painted red.

Memories reminiscing to your senses peace~

As you stroll past

The gas station triangle ribbons~

A post office~

And old town hall.

Even places you respected~

Not to make a peep~

The Victorian church on the knoll~

The library where people read.

When you have a little idle time~

This place in a home town is fine.
