Messages of Hope
Change is in the air
Can you feel it?
Change is in the air
Hearts are growing
Minds are opening
Truth is spreading
And lies are showing
Tears are telling
Each story compelling
While tales of deceit
No longer sound sweet
Those of shallow character
Who seek to conquer by dividing
Will be left far behind by those
Who's Love keeps them thriving
The darkness will remain
In the shadows of past
The Light will show us
The way forward at last
It will show us that, no matter where we are now
It is only the place from whence we must start
From here we can move in any direction
We just have to choose,
And let Love guide our actions!
Reach For The Stars!
Let your imagination free
And go with the flow
And then you will know
That your mind really can
Your mind is your spirit
And your spirit has wings
So do not live
In the Darkness of past
Let go of your fear
And know freedom at last
"Thoughts become things"
Is a truth to take far
A wish is a thought
So wish on a star!
The Power Within
Never forget the quantum physics behind it all.
Do not live in the Darkness of the past,
Or let fear stop you from choosing your own journey.
You have the knowledge to liberate yourself from those fears,
And the Light of your brilliance can shine once again.
So take responsibility for your own happiness,
And be the author of your own destiny.
There is no choice between Darkness & Light,
Darkness is but the absence of Light.
And how boring would the nothingness of Darkness be,
Compared to the Light of Creation,
In a Universe of infinite possibilities?
You have the Power, now use it!
No Matter What, Hang In There!
No matter what - hang in there! Never panic! The trick is to remain calm in any situation, not matter how alarming it may be or how helpless you may feel. With a calm mind, one can choose the best way to solve a problem, whilst remaining focused, patient, cautious AND assertive. Of course, there are some situations that leave you with no choice... In such situations, the best thing to do is just sit back and relax...
The self respect that you seek cannot be found anywhere but in your
own heart. It cannot be given to you, only you can find it. Self
respect comes from within, from the satisfaction of achievement, from
knowing you have something to offer, from
inspiring others to greater things, from giving of yourself for the
greater good, from providing people with an insight that will foster
empathy, from sharing your knowledge with those who seek enlightenment,
from the pride felt with each small success, from having a sense of
purpose that gives you direction, from forgiving yourself for your
mistakes, from gaining wisdom from your experiences, and from never
giving in to failure, but always having courage to try again. Self
respect will increase with self love, and by believing in and trusting
yourself, instead of waiting for others to do so. Love and believe in yourself, and then the love and warmth you seek will be able to find you. Find the Light, and add your own to its brilliance!

My Daughter's Letter to Santa
My children and I are survivors of Family Violence. We also all have AD/HD and, 12 months ago, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was added to our diagnosis's. Thankfully, the symptoms of PTSD have all but disappeared now, and only return for a couple of weeks or less whenever we are "triggered". The journey we have made on the road to healing from our abuse has been both painful and inspiring.
Although everybody praises me for the strength I have shown in the face of my adversity, and for the positive way I have supported my children as they have worked through their pain, fear and confusion, only a few know that it is my children who have in fact been my rock. It has been my love for them and their Light that keeps me going. My gorgeous kids, a boy (7) and a girl (8), have continually amazed me over the last year with their profound insights into their experiences and their observations of others' behavior. Their wisdom has astounded and inspired me no end.
My daughter is (usually) also quite materialistic. She wrote a letter to Santa again this year, and asked me to post it for her, which I promised to do. Of course, I then opened it to see what was at the top of her list, expecting a list of about 30 toys - as per the last 2 years. Instead, I received a wonderful, early surprise for Christmas that filled my heart with warmth, and my eyes with bitter sweet tears. Above right is a "copy" of her letter to Santa (note - this time I haven't corrected her spelling).
