Hope's Gift...A NiaG Poem

Roots begin to weaken

Fists no longer holding grip

Falling behind some more

Can’t keep up with the whip

Knocked all the way down low now

Everything feels so tall

It’s hard to rise above

Seems like an endless fall

Hoping for hopes gift

Can’t miss it when it comes

It’s the strongest power we have

Its brightness ignites the sun

Hope knocks down the cold

Takes on the hardest rides

Uplifts when doubts abundant

Softens life’s hard collides

Once you give hope a chance

What was once tall is now below

With hope we’ll all break free

Shadowed clouds will hover no more

It is usually when at our lowest ebbs that in finding hope, we find strength within to carry on towards our dreams. Wonderful writing and apt. :)

Thanks so much Dame Scribe. I truly believe hope is what keeps us going and getting through a lot of things in our lives. Without it, we'd all lay down and give up. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Hope springs eternal and where would we be without it.
