How Beautiful the Blood

The blood of Christ

Shed for me

Clothing me

Washing me clean

Covering me

Making me new and no longer shamed.

Qualifying me to stand before God

Is Christ's righteousness.

Jesus gave His life for me

Placing me in God's family.

God my Father

Sees my sin no more but

Only His Son, Jesus the Christ

And His precious shed blood.

Oh Lord, how beautiful the blood

That you gave as you died

A bitter death for me.

And oh how sweet

The taste of salvation

Knowing by your suffering

I have been made free

From the stink of my sin.

The power of the true Holy One

Displayed in the beauty of Your resurrection.

I am in awe of your undeserved and unending love for me.

The blood so precious delivers me.

Faith and Kelly, Thank you both for reading and sharing. To think how much our Father loved us that He shed His own blood to cleanse us just makes me want to shout. He deserves all the glory!

I stand with you: "And oh how sweet The taste of salvation." What would we do without it? Thanks for giving me the opportunity to reflect. Really good lines.
