How To Drop The Mis Before Fortune
We Have All Been There
When a good day turns sour
A great time seems to disappear suddenly
All the fun we once had is replaced by trouble
Wanting to be well is only a prayer
Turning to friends for help
Depending on family to guide us through
Loving the good life just a little bit more
We play the waiting game that can not be rushed
Just when we thought we were out of the woods
We seem to have gone in deeper
Our promising thoughts are dashed
With another unexpected turn of events
Quickly we are reminded it is not over yet
Unfortunately we have to do it alone
From here on out
It is up to our body and mind
To finish what no man has started
Bringing back good health
Shaking the twenty four hour bug
Now I hear it is going around
I didn't believe
Until it sent me for a loop
Like a plane doing tricks high in the air
I felt uneasy and queasy
Bobbing my head up and down
I wanted to hug the ground
I couldn't wait
For this moment to be over and put it all behind me
Moving on was my plan
Pass the warm Ginger Ale and the Saltine crackers
Nothing else seem to matter
How quickly our world changes
As my face turns pale
My hands feel clammy
I try to close my eyes
Take a nap
I beg for sleep
Doing anything to feel better
As my stomach turns over and over
Not music or conversation seems to help
I am cold
Now I am hot
I can't seem to make my mind up
Grin and bear it
I took a few Tylenol
For a headache that came out of the blue
To pound my happiest thoughts out of sight
I am the one that doesn't get sick
I am the one with yolk on my face
As I try to laugh
I will be home soon
As every bump gives me a new reminder
The chills wont let me forget
Home at last
Racing for bed after a quick shower
I will delete this memory from all my thoughts
With a stroke of my computer
As soon as I am well again and this awful feeling is over
