Hubpoets and Puppet Hubs !

I want my poem back!

Perhaps we're supposed to be
grateful for even being able to type
Yet it seems Hubpages has joined
us in all this hype

The hubbers like me are eatin bologna
and sipping coolaids
While soomeeoones eatin steak and
enjoying the charades

Making millions from advertising
or at least a pittance '
But doin nothing about plagiarists
where it should be good riddance

Yes .....Yes .....I know there's no
demand for what's on a poets mind
But I still see on my hubs
the adds are pretty well defined

Of coarse everyone knows it costs
nothing to bare your soul
YET ....I feel bad for the real
writers role

Some hubbers I know do an unbelieveable
a
mount of research staying up late too
So tell me hubbers ....Hows it
feel to have it stolen from you

While someone in the front office runs off
to the bank
Yet about theft of our words.........I guess
there's no" big yank"

Hey, I enjoyed reading this. Forgive my ignorance, but is there a serious plag. issue on HubPages, or in general? What do you suggest as a solution? Thanks for sharing.

You have hit the mark, economically, poetically, precisely. Where are the HubPages staff and owners when they are needed. They have much more influence and authority as a company, corporation than we do as individual writers. Why aren't they being proactive about this theft?

If they were a big box store and someone was walking out th front door stealing TVs, I am quite sure they would be all over it. Thank you for drawing attention to this. SHARING Theresa

It seems something is happening on BigE. I haven't been able to access articles anyway. Great poem and I hope this site anyway has been stopped from stealing hubs or articles that are not authored by them.

Sarcasm I feel, in your words of truth

Irony lies, in the wisdom you put

So many questions go by... unanswered

Money plants cling and rise

There theft going unwavered

while the Lotus lie in the muds

No one hears, whilst their breaking hearts' thuds

Aye, 7 following and no speakers? I'm a lot of things but not a coward, this is an excellent frame of the whole picture, "Hey You! Hub Pages, Doesn't Care" "It is all about the money" not a writer or the hours they keep, just keep making us money. I write now and again, I stay to read, while others come to steal, and without trouble, they do.

"A worker is due their wage" (the Bible)

"Thou shall not steal" (the Bible)

A little corporate support would go a good mile.

Great article that's not lost on me.

Peace,

Blessings,

50

You speak the truth so loud it shouts amid the silence from those who make the money off of our words. This is so true that I'm glad someone finally wrote this . i wonder if that other websit e stole any recipes for brownies or how to sew a blanket. No they stole poetry, maybe the powers that be will start to appreciate the poets on this website. Now my rant is done.!!!

Great Poem.

Ha, good one! LOL. You seem to have the settings so that comments do not show up in your hubs. I made comments in yours the other night but they are not visible. Just letting you know. Voted up! :)

Lol..well done, Mr. Back...well done - once again! Quite frankly - i didn't even bother checking if they stole my words - as those that did just returned frustrated, angry and unable to accomplish anything. This goes on constantly and you are SO right - follow the money! Why should pages care - as long as they get their share?

Voted up for sure. For me yes, I hate having my entire hub re-pasted elsewhere however one time something good did happen. Someone had taken a poem of mine from another site, and with my name as the author put it to music on YouTube now that I liked. What is happening now leads me to doubt the sanity of those who grab and run.

Well done. This needed saying and should have been widely read. I am sorry it slipped through the cracks. I am so behind on my reading, but never-the-less SHARING

Hey ahorseback. You bring up a very relevant point about Hubpages. I originally started with my hubs of poetry. They went no where. Some days it feels like selling out for removing them to write commercially popular hubs. But, at least we can write all sorts of things here. Sad, but true. Well done.
