I Am Almost Ready

I Am Waiting

Some people are never on time

While other people are fifteen minutes early for everything

Is it do to poor planning ?

Lack of organizational skills ?

You hear the stories

One excuse after another

It is always something that delayed them

Traffic

They got up late

They are not feeling well and still decided to come

So how can you be mad at someone who is under the weather ?

They were on the phone and didn't realize how late it was

Bad weather

I understand sometimes things happen to all of us

Lets be real

Every time even when everyone else can make it

Could it be they are the odd couple ?

Where constant strange circumstances follow them

I heard one person say some people think it is fashionable to be late

New to me

I never heard of such a thing

What are your feelings on this subject ?

Am I over exaggerating and making a mountain out of a mole hill ?

I think it is a dark cloud that follows them around

I wonder if they were born unlucky ?

Either way

I am glad I am only late on a rare occasion

Embarrassed when it does happen

Apologizing and nobody is perfect

What did I miss

I hate to stand out

Watch

Next time when your at a wedding or a party

See the heads turn

Are they facing you or looking the other way ?

I can hear a voice say

We are here now

What's the big deal

My sister is always late. There are times when I think being late is intentional on her part. She likes to keep others waiting. I'm the opposite. Usually early for appointments.

I'm always on time...always been that way....is it DNA or being raised by a father who would accept no excuses? I honestly don't know, but I do know that late people drive me crazier than I already am. :) Nice job my friend.

vocalcoach It is amazing how it doesn't bother some people.I for one rather be an hour early than five minutes late. billybuc I enjoyed your comment. I am laughing to myself. I try to forget about it but how can I. Sometimes parents blame it on their kids. Then I wonder if years later the kids end up like their parents. A cycle that keeps repeating itself.Thank you both for reading and commenting.

Waiting can be frustrating. Punctuality works best for me. One should respect the time of others.

I hate being late so I always make sure I get to places a bit early. However my hubby always keeps me waiting by the door as I keep looking at my watch.

DDE My wife and I have to plan ahead because we have an hour and a half drive to work every day. So special events also need more planning. Allowing for traffic do to the weather, accidents and road construction. We have to be safe and rushing wouldn't be smart. Once we leave the house there is no turning back. We often do a check list two or three times making sure we did not forget anything.Gypsy Rose Lee My wife does the same to me. There is always last minute things that come up. Thank you both reading my poems and sharing part of your life with me. Have a beautiful night.

Independently of others, it is my intention, my determination to be on time. Inheriting , accepting and applying from "my Father" who runs universe always on time , precisely. Can you imagine traveling in a country where only twice in 24 hours train is taking you to your place destination.?! Not once in dozens of years I missed to be on time...

in this country working at the factory ( 700 people one shift ) , when due to snow storm only less that 200 made I made on time seven miles distance...Standing out does not make me proud, nor bothers me at all. We are living in time of massive irresponsible actions when people recklessly make their " own scheduling " making rest of the community suffer.

Might be old fashioned, but it begins at home : we used to have every meal as a family together and on time..., on time we walked to school often miles distance daily... Discipline lifestyle "On time" won't catch us by surprise at the last trumpet's sound.. (Whatever does it mean.)

Voted interesting.

Michael-Milec I couldn't stop laughing. For years my mother had supper ready for us at 4:30. We had to come home. My friends ate later and they could stay out to 5:30 and 6:00. One friend didn't have supper at all. They just ate when they wanted. I was mad then but now I know how important it was to have a schedule. I have an hour and a half drive to work so I always have to leave on time or a little bit earlier just incase traffic or the unexpected. I appreciate your comments and views on so many different subjects. It is so nice to share and learn from you.
