I Am Larger Than I Thought

I am larger than I thought

Though in circumstances poor

I see hope and beauty all around

When Spring holds wide the door

I will be certain to be kind

To all who come first and last

But remove the cobwebs in your mind

And forget the longings of your past

One step alone will not take you far

In your journey within your heart

And though He intends to clear the ways

Your days are numbered from the start

So remember to live in the now

Take care you don’t miss the boat

For tho’ there’s time to daydream

Tomorrow is a promissory note

...well we all have different writing styles - I write so fast that - lol - I just keep my words simple and try not to think too much and keep the words like an everyday dialogue - but you my fine friend - write the purest heartfelt poetry I've ever read here at the Hub - sure there are a few others here at the Hub who make their poetry as art and their art as poetry - but you are a belly dancer who just happens to be married to the greatest songwriter of all time .........lake erie time 11:59pm

Great poem written with an excellent writing style. Interesting subject matter and the poem just flows.
