The Adventures of the Jungle Puss Prince will be a series of poems dedicated to and starring my feline friend, Prince Fredward. This is the second installment. =) Enjoy!
I Hide Like A Ninja
All adventurers have specialties.
Some can rock climb or follow
maps to treasures.
Some adventurers have adventures
of the mind, with codes to break or
potions to measure!
Just like these others,
The Jungle Puss Prince
has his own sense of worth.
Prince can reshape furniture. He can
stretch and bend his body in any way.
Prince can purr like no other, and he'd
take on a flock of geese any day!
Jungle Puss Prince has many works,
most as important as his others.
But there is one magnum opus
that Prince enjoys the most.
Prince hides like a ninja;
he can rarely be seen!
Behind posts and under tables,
and even beside trees!
Nobody can see Prince
when Prince doesn't want to be seen.
Prince is gone when he lies in grass.
He has more camouflage secrets
than a walking stick has!
Prince slinks in the shadows
of a backyard tree.
He even knows the best wood
pile to hide in--invisibility!
Of all adventurers' gifts,
and all of Prince's needs,
he needs to hide the most;
THIS is The Jungle Puss Prince's
Specialty.
