I Miss You Now More Than Ever

Source

I love you Nana

Today I saw a shooting star

Now I wonder where you are

And if you’re looking down to see

All that I have come to be

I hate this feeling of sorrow and of fear

Of not having you close or near

I wonder if this will get better

I miss you now more than ever

I miss your smile and your laughter

And all the crafts that you could master

All the stories of when you were young

Of when your life had just begun

I wish I knew how and why

We ever had to say goodbye

I thought that you would live forever

I miss you now more than ever

It's been a year since you passed away Nana and not a day goes by that I don't miss you. You were the glue that held the family together and always a guiding light with your wisdom. I miss your humor, I miss your laughter, and all the stories you used to tell and your way of letting your opinion be known. You were a very big presence for a woman of such a short stature. I miss your strong will, I miss your stubbornness, and how you always had a way of making me laugh. You possessed such a caring and nurturing nature that I will always remember. Rest easy Nana, I know you're smiling down on all of us from Heaven. I love you.

I know exactly how you feel I still miss my Nan too. Nans are very special people. She will still be watching over you and you will keep that special place in your heart just for her always.

After reading your poem it encouraged me to put the poem I wrote years ago into a hub. I wonder if she knows :-)

Thank you Rosemay. It brings comfort to me that how I am feeling is relatable to others. It brings comfort to me as well that I was able to encourage you. =]
