I See You

Reverse the rotation of this earth
to backtrack to the ashes
to return to our birth
defying the balance

"I see you" she said
but not with her eyes

beyond sight
more than what's before us
beyond mind
into the realm of flight

Above a city, my soul flew
devouring hues
blue and burning lights
visions of new

It was then, that I saw her
but not with my eyes

The great tree has fallen
consumed by mankind
The great war commences
for continuance of life

Soaring over explosions
collisions of wills
our last city is afire
our last hope rests here

We looked into the well
in a trance, hypnotized

We finally saw each other
but not with our eyes

The final bliss of night

faded with her final touch

while I took my final breath

under stars' and moon's caress

The fine line between perfection and death
I have overstated my pleas
emphasizing my will to be encased within you
I have expired my requests

no more chances to be born again
not in this lifetime
no, not on this side of the hourglass
twice born, twice ceased
I say this again, I've exhausted my pleas

Exquisitely beautiful as always, a soul connection everyone seeks but only lucky ones get to find. Fascinating images from the heart.

sligo - Thanks for that input, I kinda got the inspiration from the movie "Avatar" where they say 'I see you' which basically means they make a soul connection. Thanks for the visit I appreciate it :]

Jessica - You don't know how much your comments made my morning :D Thank you for thinking that and for reading me still! You still should add me on Facebook "Ben Aptaker" I tried to find you but couldn't...too many search results. Thanks again :]

you always amaze me. how can so much thought go through one head.

i think that you have a beautiful mind. that middle poem, with the reoccurring words

"I see you" she said but not with her eyes... It was then, that I saw her but not with my eyes... We finally saw each other

but not with our eyes"

was outstanding. it made me think of true human connection. which is always a beautiful thought.

awesome stuff man.

"We finally saw each other but not with our eyes" is an original view of things not stated or described by other writers, more like the phrase "I see" meaning "I understand" than simple biologic vision. This is another fine piece of work. "The final bliss of night" suggests a longing for the end or eternal night and yet.... There is possibility in this phrase - for the "final night of bliss" which is unspoken.
