I Should Never Have Left You

Source

He touched something deep inside of her

Something nobody else had touched

Not before him

Not after he had left

He dug a deep hole in her heart

A hole nobody else had dug

Not before him

Not after he had left

He left an invisible scar in her soul

A scar nobody else had left

Not before him

Not after he had left

In her dream she had seen him

And she asked him the question:

”How do you feel about me now?”

With sad eyes he looked at her and said:

”I should never have left you”

Who Left Who?

Melissa Horn is a Swedish singer who sings in Swedish. Her heartfelt songs are beautiful. I think she's popular, because so many people can relate to her songs that always tell a story. In the song "Vem lämnade vem?" she is asking that question "Who left who? I'm yet not over you". I've written more about Melissa Horn in a hub called "Life Without Music".

Amazing story back to back who pays back who. Truly deep and emotionally disturbed by your words... Great story telling, as though it was lived by someone you knew. Thanks! Made!

A bittersweet poem. It is hard to say who left who. It seems it was an amicable divorse sort of. However, I don't think they will be friends. Pretty amazing poem! Great job!

We often have friends who touch us in a big way in our life and your story here just reflects that. I enjoyed reading. Voted up.

Made, this is wonderful. this line struck me most:

”How do you feel about me now?”

With sad eyes he looked at her and said:

”I should never have left you”

unknown spy, that line is sad, and it's kind of personal, and sad... Thank you for your loyal follow. I really appreciate all your comments.

There are times in our lives, Made, when we meet someone and instantly form a bond....and we know we like that person without knowing anything about them. That's how it was for me early on in our friendship. There is something about you that instantly attracted me to you....and I was oh so right about the person you are.

You are such a kind, gentle, loving person. I am honored to be your friend.

Bill,

You make me cry those happy tears

Our friendship seems so real

Even if you're far away

It feels like you are near

Thank you. I'm honored.

Bill, a very short and simple poem. I write about things I like and I like you. It's as simple as that. :)

.....I don't know of which three things here are more perfect :

1. your writing in this poem

2. your beautiful blue eyes

3. or your hub score

sending you warm wishes and good energy from lake erie time 5:00am

Made 4 years ago from Finland Author

epi, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but nobody is perfect. That comment you made is probably next to perfect, because it:

1. inspires me to write more poems

2. makes my blue eyes even more blue

2. and keeps my hub score up

I'm sending you some warm wishes and energy back from a rainy Finland to lake erie. Thank you! :)

James-wolve, I really like this Swedish singer. She mostly sings sad love songs and I wish I could write songs like her, but I'm probably too confused to do that. Lol!

Very interesting look at a break up from another angle. I guess when we're that connected to someone, the connection and scars remain. Up and interesting.

You're right janshares. The scars remain, but the past is the past and life can be beautiful if you find other things to be happy about. Thank you for reading yet one of my poems.
