Poem About Love : I don't like it when I still love you

I don’t like it when I still love you

I don’t like it

When I miss you

And you’re not there anymore

When I wake up

And you’re not there beside me

When I think of you

And yet I can’t hold you

When I turn around

And I see your happy face

When I write and stop

And I am thinking of you

When I drink coffee

And how you liked it too

When I go to the store

And buy foods together

When after cooking

And you will eat all the food

When I watch sports

And your favorite team wins

When I go to the bathroom

And I can smell your scent

When I need you

And yet I cant touch you

When I look at the roads

And your car is not there

When I try to think

And all I can think is you

When I sleep

And I dream of you

And how I miss you

I dont like it, yes

But I still love you

SPRING, NICE Isn' it
SPRING, NICE Isn' it

Dearest Maita: Your words in this poem really touch my heart, and I love the art you added, although my most favorite season is Autumn, which I call the changing of the guard. As finite humans we are so very fragile, and it doesn't take much to hurt us. I can feel the pain and heartache, the anguish, the sorrow, the longing, this poem shows whether it be for someone who has simply moved on to something or someone else or whether it is someone who has returned to Our Father. As your friend,I hope that this poem is merely words on a page and that you are not suffering such a loss. I am truly touched by this writing and it makes me want to reach out to you, and embrace you in a knowing loving hug to tell you fret not for all will be well again, for I am here with you to ease your pain, just as Jesus would do. Remember Maita my dear You Are Loved.............Sincerely,lovingly............Dave

You have taken us readers...into the part where we all sense how real it is to "miss" someone a great deal...even the ones that we would not like to know within our own selves...that we still miss them. A wish for you: that you find a new one to create new memories with...that will make the old one pass away permanently!

hey Micky, yes memories hurts at times, but it always bring good laugh and you smile, thankful that it happened and then you brace it and slowly if time permits, only if time permits you gotta be moving on,

the heart maybe cracks and battered but it still beating just the same and looking for another wings and love, till then it calmed down and satisfis itself, hoping and wishing love will be forever this time,

Love hurts but it is still the most beautiful feeling in the world, and when you endure the pain and hurt it brings only then you can tell you have won in the biggest war in the heartdom, and then you smile,

and say I hope Steelers won hehe, just making you smile today hehe

thank you, Maita

prettydarkhorse profile image

prettydarkhorse 6 years ago from US Author

Hi Dave, thank you for your nice compliments and sensitive remarks

Yes my heart have been battered but it will always beat, it will beat again and am glad I can smile althugh of course from time to time you think of memories, it can be bitter but it can be sweet at the same time,

Love can be the most wonderful feeling in the world too, and yes it hurts sometimes but then you smile afterwards and look at the past as a lesson and good memories, that once upon a time you experienced a love -- so true that you remember the feelings, like this one,

“There's this place in me where your finger prints still rest... you're kisses still linger and your whispers softly echo and it's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me“.

Thanks for reading this one, and thanks for your kind words too, Maita

oh manly, thanks for a very nice compliment and wishes too,at times we think of the past and although it is bitter, the memories indeed are sweet,

I always treasure memories and I always remember the good times but there are times you remember and then it hurts you yearn, but you cant hold them anymore, but then you sit down and think back, you just say, thanks for the memories and just remember they did truly loved you also,

and of course you are never the same again after the loss, but then you can be better after too, I miss the good days and memories, Thanks so much manly, Maita

Great poem Maita. Very beautiful even if sad, and great pictures, especially the snowy trees. Human beings are made of feelings, aren't we? Sometimes they make us suffer, but this means we're alive and that we are able to have feelings. In Italy there is a saying that goes like this: "When a door is shut a bigger door gets open". So as you said let's go on with a smile. :)

I have been at those crossroads as well and thats when I say to myself that there is a reason, a season, and a lifetime. And then I tell myself to give change a chance. Which is much easier said than done. Your writings hit home and made me realize that I am past that place where I was and where you have been. A great feeling to look back and it no longer be a painful memory, just a learning experience. We are not humans on a spiritual experience, we are spirits on a human experience. thanks for the sharing your work. smile

Very lovely poem "When I sleep And I dream of you"

~ The dreams of you holding me, the dreams of you kissing me, the dreams of us together feel to real to be just dreams. I need the one thing that completes me the one thing that makes me who I am. My heart feel empty, incomplete without you. Wont you be the other half that makes me whole? I miss you. ~by Eric

There is beauty in simplicity and this poem is one wonderful example of that.

I think many of us can relate to this situation in our lives and time can be a great healer and help ease the heartache. We might not be able to forget entirely but it does get better.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts Maita.

Happy New Year, PDH! I've been away from hubpages for a while. I thought I might stop by to see what you were up to. Read your poem and could relate to it. I believe that most of us have been to and experienced that kind of thing at some point in our lives. Unfortunately, we have no power over anyone but ourselves. Although we would like our love object to return to us, ultimately, whether they do or not is up to them. If they decide never to return, we must let them go and go on with our lives without the extra stress. Certainly, we will feel and experience the stress and pain for some time. But we must time do its job by healing all our wounds over time. Painful as it may be at the time, we must go on with our lives. And that is a good thing for two reasons: It reduces the amount of stress in our lives and by the same token, it takes us out of a disempowered position relative to the love object who could manipulate us since we are, in a real sense, at their mercy. Sorry, for being a realist, but that is my take on the matter. Anyway, again, may you have a very happy and productive new year!
