I have been known to............a poem

I have been known to stick out my tongue
in the falling snow and smile
As I have been known as well
to walk alone for mile after mile

I have been known to realize in a pinch
I am truly frightened
I have been known as well
to be alone and truly enlightened

And I have been known to lift
a woman up into the air
And then hug her to the dickens.... a stranger
who will listen and care

And known as well to go off by myself
and spend hours simply alone
Wondering if any of it was worth it
an entire life to atone

I have been known to let my presence
be outed and shouted aloud
And been known to avoid anything
that resembles a crowd

At times I scream silently
into the absence of people
Yet adore the bells ringing in the valley
from a distant steeple

Yes I have been known to be the man
that smiles yet inside I am screaming
For only the righteous woman to wonder
what is the difference what is the meaning

Yes.... I have been known and
yet never to truly be
Anything but one more man
trying to be free

Seems like this one could be personal, yet I think many can relate. :)

Wow, very dramatic piece here! You have been known to be human then . . . is what you are saying. Love this piece.

Voted up and awesome and sharing I've seen that statue in Gloucester, MA.

Hugs and love, Faith Reaper

Ed, I don't know if I just love you more or if your writing is getting deeper, but I love it... and you are so much more than 'one more man'.

Hugs, Eddie!

I know enough of you to know that you are an amazing human being! Your self-assessment and insight is so refreshing ( i won't add 'for a man'..lol)..

your duality in desires indicates to me an 'enlightened' mind. As they enjoy being alone to think and evolve..

i adore you..

sharing..
