I'M GLAD NO ONE TOLD ME...by b. Malin

Source

JUST SOME THOUGHTS...

I'm glad no one told me that I couldn't walk on the Moon...

Or catch a Falling Star.

Or fly like a Fairy, so very, very, far.

I'm glad no one said that's Impossible To Do.

I know that I wouldn't have listened...

Would you?

I'm glad no one told me, it was a waste of my time,

Walking on the Beach way after nine.

Holding hands with my lover, while my heart skipped a beat.

I'm glad no one said this is a waste of your time.

I know that I wouldn't have listened...

Would you?

I'm glad that I was able to think my Thoughts alone...

While conjuring up Prose and Poetry in my mind,

For others to enjoy... from time to time.

I'm glad no one said it's a waste of your time.

I'll tell you about the Sun, and the Surf, and the Sand.

I'll weave a story that will be oh so grand...

I'll send you the warmth, through the words that I share,

While you snuggle up North, trying to stay warm.

With the snow coming down, creating quite a storm...

Wishing you were anywhere... but there.

As you throw another log on the fire,

While allowing my words to keep you warm.

I'm glad no one told me it was a waste of my time.

I know I wouldn't have listened...

Would you?

....it sounds like you lead quite a charmed life where you reside - and believe me I am always charmed when I have the privilege of reading your sincere heartfelt words ......

You know that you don't have to lead such prose off with an excuse of "just some thoughts" Sometimes prose comes out that way and giving those thoughts proper reverence may help future flow.

There are plenty in this world who like to tell us that we're wasting our time. Let us 'waste out time' ... It's ours to waste and we would be wasting our time to listen to them and to be dissuaded from doing the things that we want to do in our life. Listen to others but listen to our own hearts too!

Beautiful thoughts and God bless you my friend!

I think we all have it in us...to want to find things out for ourselves, don't you? We want to be free to do what we feel is the right way to express ourselves, without others telling us how to do it. : ) I liked this poem, b. Malin

Thank you Shygirl2. I think we are born that way... to learn, to grown, and we need to make our own mistakes...I feel that life is one big learning experience, which can be rich and rewarding. Thanks for your comments, so glad you liked my poem.
