Impossible Dream

I just want to be good

for one whole day

Never have to worry

if my words will twist

another way.

To finally practice

a love so pure

that when I think

of my motives,

I'm confident

and sure.

I hopelessly want

for it all to turn out right

and find the hero's strength

to make this darkness

shine so bright.

But in the end,

my imperfection stays in me.

Only hope of progression

can set this wandering

knave free.

Another excellent poem. It's really well written and I like the message too. :)

Hope is a wonderful and powerful thing. We are sure to progress if we possess this. Beautiful poem! Thank you

Hope is what enables us to survive sometimes. I definitely agree. Glad you found beauty in it!
