Idle By- a Poem

An indignant universe flips the bird.
An indignant universe flips the bird.
Our isignificance is evident.

Idle By

By Tony DeLorger© 2011

Idle by I sit and wait for someone of responsibility,

to take charge of my life and transform all that displeases.

Warranted not by my laziness but my fear,

I cling to invisibility, my inner child begging for release.

The antithesis of my will, I draw back within,

and cringe under the shear weight of my apprehension.

Idle by I sit and wait for someone to love me,

to lead me into a blissful life, away from the dark abyss.

Warranted not by my heartlessness but my fear,

I cling to mediocrity, my talent ever suppressed.

The antithesis of my will, I draw back within,

and cringe under the ineptitude of my loneliness.

Idle by I sit and wait for someone to find me,

to relinquish my doubts and understand my insight and expression.

Warranted not by my confidence but my fear,

I cling to sadness, my vision pleading for release.

The antithesis of my will, I draw back within,

and cringe under the indecision of my acceptance.

Idle by I will sit no more,

I will be responsible, loved and found,

until truth has embraced me.

Lovely poem. It's lonely just waiting.

This is an awesome poem/song - and is probably the best I've seen posted on hubpages. Nice vocabulary.
