If Only...(a poem of Inspiration)
If only we could heal all of those who are blind,
Every child would see this grand world,
View the blue oceans, and tall green trees,
The sparkle of gems, bright pearls.
Each day they would see the sun to rise,
Fine light warming all that's about,
Watch the moon of silver and golds,
And never sitting still, just to pout.
If only we could make the deaf to all hear,
We'd ring all the joyful bells around,
They'd smile and nod, when nice music to hear,
Then to rejoice in every sound.
Their own sweet voices, then they'd hear,
Bringing joy and lots of cheer,
They'd never have to explain their loss,
Nor to sit in groups with such fear.
If only we could teach the speechless to talk,
There'd be no more faces to frown,
They'd talk so much, all chattering away,
Then would be the talk of the town.
They'd express their feelings, of sadness,
That of love, and never be silent again,
After they'd spoken before great crowds,
Ending their speech...with an "amen"!
If only we could show the lame how to walk,
Never to be carried around, ever again,
They'd run in races and all stroll about...
Give to us all a wonderful shout.
They'd impart their knowledge to everyone,
Just what its like to be so glad,
Leave behind those days of remorse,
Never again, would they be so sad!
If we could only explain to those, the ones,
Who have no faith, or are so forlorn,
We'd share our thoughts and give much thanks,
For the reasons we all are born.
We'd tell them about the lord and savior,
To be born in Bethlehem, very long ago,
We'd share in a story of caring, and sacrifice...
His great love, that he did show.
For we may be as the blind, when we do not see,
We may be as deaf, when our courage is to flee.
We may not speak, when most everyone should,
Yet, is up to us each, to search for the good.
