I'm Down Here.

I'm down here.-MFB III

I'm down here
thinking of you

up there
wishing the

wasn't so great
between us.

I long at times
to hold

you close
but I can't seem
to reach around
the clutter
that fueled

your wrath.

Those steps

loom like a

mountain now
I'm weary
but I'll climb them
to lay beside you
and just listen
to hear

you breathe
as you sleep

when as two

we used to
dash up those
steps together
to snuggle close
and kiss
then melt

as one
into pure love
I'm down here
~thinking of you
~~and realizing that
~~~the distance
isn't really
great at all..
it's just awful
Awe .. this is sad MFB. Love is fragile is it not? Things can change so quickly and we are left amazed thinking .. what just happened? Without the commitment from BOTH to forgive and to work at being one the snap of change remains. It takes two that choose to be one and there are so few that find each other.
Blessings dear man!
Wonderful language 'to reach around the clutter that fueled your wrath'
I am quite blown away by this phrase!
You seem to have hard time, convincing your friend, but she does allow us fine poetry.
