I'm Not Perfect Poem
I'm Not Perfect
A Poem by Godwin Delali Adadzie
As a baby I cried the day I was born
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I peed on myself and much more
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I didn't know how to talk or walk
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
As a toddler I wanted every toy
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I smashed my toys and destroy them
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I cried for every ice cream out there
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
As a toddler I walk and fall
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I still love sucking mum's breast
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I'm trying to stand on my feet
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I'm learning how to write the alphabets
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I'm still don't know enough rhymes
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I wonder why the stars twinkle at night
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
Now I am in my teens and still confuse
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I think Mathematics is still my problem
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
The boys in class says I'm not cool
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
The guy I want to date loves someone else
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I think I'll be someones Princess Charming
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
When will my Prince Charming come for me?
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
I know my castle is somewhere for sure
I'm not perfect but I'm worth it.
Are you the perfect piece of my dreams?
