In Love We Trust...some thoughts.
In Love We Trust
By Tony DeLorger © 2013
Love in itself bares no ill,
only the binding of souls,
in the timeless celebrations of life's potential,
and of the most pure of expression.
It is we who choose to betray love,
in our misunderstanding and manipulation,
ever qualifying our actions in its name,
for the good of self.
Love plays no part in such betrayal,
being the movement but not the object,
without view, without judgement,
love is purely the attainment of an open heart.
What love offers is timeless and irreplaceable,
it can move the earth and yet has no intention,
simply a potential to be realised,
a state of aspiration.
What hurt ensues from love,
is simply our inability of expression and commitment,
and lessons to be understood about ourselves,
love in itself cannot be tarnished.
Love is never just a feeling,
it is a way of life, an acceptance and humility,
that we are children, learning to walk,
learning what love really means.
