In My Dreams ( a poem of inspiration)

In my dreams...I will soar, for it's then that I may fly...

There to rest on a mountain's top, high up in the sky.

I spy beautiful colors of reds, yellows, and azure blues...

Sunsets, so grand, so marvelous, spread in vibrant hues.

My past life flows, as if in slowed motion, are its shapes...

Darkness soon comes...as the precious light escapes,

As I dream, as within my dream, nonsense so prevails,

Nothing's real, as if to seem, strange...in all the details.

New sounds soon to come, on freshest waves of air,

Then returns the light, for it was so missed, so fair...

Happier days, I find, as a soothing music, all in time...

Words lost in dull prose...now in beauty, to rhyme.

My feet may walk upon cooling airs, just above the ground...

As joyfully I keep in time, with each note and every sound.

Now I'm soon flying higher, over the countryside, once again...

It's in my dreams, I may find escape... before each day to begin.
