In My Kindergarten of Eden - A Poem

In the Beginning there was Music not Time
And the Powers that Be made the Music divine

The Illustrated Man's building castles in sand
Knock-knocking down Jericho with the clap of his hands
The Illustrated Man's in love with his mind
Keep-Keeps digging for Gold until the pyrite shines

Where Wild Things are never seems so far
Got a Circus-circus outlaw tearing the tales apart
Where Wild Things are can't be revealed
Until we're thru mudslinging for the last of all that appeals

The Food of the Gods in a Ghost Town fog
Blood Sugar sunrising through the hail storms and smog
The Food of the Gods for one last meal
Wurm Muthas suckers clutching onto anything left to steal

But the Harvest times always out of season
And the Lord can't help it
As the Scientists screeching for the Age of Reason
So the whores can sell it

And We'll do anything for the pieces we're keeping
As we tinker with toys
In My Kindergarten of Eden
We separate the girls from boys In My Kindergarten of Eden
