In The LImbo Of Hearts Left Hanging.

In The Limbo Of Hearts Left hanging.

So many hearts left hanging
between empty limbs,
still wet with the kiss
of the mourning's dew.
Swaying softly
in the warm breeze,
as if they are
love's dance,
long stilled
after blooming.

Mine hangs there,
second row,
three across,
waiting to be plucked,
and treasured again.
Let her wear it
on her sleeve,
like a corsage,
soon enough
we wither and die,
let me perish
in an arrangement
of what she sees
as beautiful.
The strings of
my heart dangle
severed too soon,
and returned to
this garden of
lonely hearts,
trembling in
We languish here
much like pink
in the amber
of despair.
